About The Position

SailPoint is seeking a Technical Program Manager to serve as the operational backbone of its product security program. The role coordinates 12+ concurrent initiatives, recurring security operations, vendor engagements, and work across Product, Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, and the CISO organization. The program covers security architecture reviews, tooling evaluations, procurement, pipeline buildout, and initiatives spanning production access controls, CI/CD security, cloud asset governance, identity, and related areas. As part of the Engineering Operations team, the program manager will keep the engineering organization secure, compliant, and audit-ready while helping teams work efficiently. The role owns the program’s operational rhythm, roadmap, cross-team dependencies, procurement pipeline, BAU capacity tracking, executive reporting, and metrics. It also establishes consistent intake and tracking processes using Jira and Confluence, and applies AI-assisted workflows with appropriate human oversight. The position is remote within the United States and requires US citizenship due to FedRAMP requirements. The estimated US base salary range is $97,900–$165,082. The role may also be eligible for a corporate bonus or role-specific commission and equity participation.

Requirements

7+ years of technical program management experience, including at least 3 years managing security, infrastructure, or platform engineering programs.
Demonstrated experience managing 10+ concurrent initiatives with cross-functional dependencies across engineering organizations.
Experience managing vendor procurement for security or engineering tooling, including evaluations, POCs, and contract execution.
Familiarity with application security, cloud security, DevSecOps, vulnerability management, and identity/access management.
Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and spreadsheet-based trackers, including the ability to maintain program tracking without dedicated PMO infrastructure.
Strong written communication skills for executive status updates, quarterly reviews, and decision packages.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Strong organization, technical judgment regarding vulnerability severity and cloud-native security risk, relationship-building, and communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
Data-driven approach using metrics such as aging, throughput, and SLA adherence.
US citizenship, required due to FedRAMP requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience building or maturing a security, infrastructure, or platform program operating model, including intake, quarterly planning, execution cadence, BAU transition, and portfolio capacity planning.
Prior ownership of DevSecOps, CI/CD security, or SCM/toolchain programs.
Identity and access security program coordination, including production access controls or non-human identity initiatives.
Experience coordinating security review and operations programs, such as architecture reviews, AI security reviews, red team engagements, and security champions.
Track record delivering executive quarterly program reviews, procurement decision packages, and semi-automated metrics reporting for security or engineering programs.
SaaS or enterprise product security experience in audit- or compliance-sensitive environments, including influencing engineering leadership and resolving cross-organizational dependencies without direct authority.
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted and agent-orchestrated workflows for planning, tracking, and communication, with sound judgment about automation and human oversight.
Proven ability to design and maintain Jira and Confluence tracking that supports accountability and executive visibility.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end execution and tracking of 12+ concurrent product security initiatives across near-term, mid-term, and continuous work.
Maintain the initiative roadmap and weekly tracking cadence; monitor milestones, owners, timelines, dependencies, risks, and blockers, escalating issues as needed.
Map and manage dependencies across DevOps, Platform Engineering, FinOps, Architecture, Product, Engineering Directors, and the CISO organization.
Build trusted working relationships with engineering leaders and facilitate cross-team coordination.
Manage the vendor and procurement pipeline, including vendor evaluations, proof-of-concept scoping, results compilation, contract processes, and leadership decision packages.
Track recurring business-as-usual security activities against team capacity and provide visibility into workload and available capacity.
Prepare executive-ready status updates, quarterly program reviews, and decision packages.
Use metrics such as aging, throughput, and SLA adherence to assess program health and communicate risk to technical and executive audiences.
Build and maintain program tracking in Jira and Confluence, establish a consistent intake process, and use AI-assisted workflows where appropriate.
Track program progress, staffing utilization, outcomes, and plans for upcoming quarters; support quarterly and fiscal-year planning.
Manage security-program backlog and emerging work, including scoping, sizing, and sequencing future initiatives.
