About The Position

A fully remote, U.S.-based opportunity with a CPA and advisory firm focused on tax planning, strategic advisory services, and helping business owners make year-round financial decisions. The role combines complex tax return preparation and review with client-facing tax planning and advisory work. The firm emphasizes direct client relationships, an advisory-focused practice, and work measured by impact rather than hours, with no billable-hour pressure. The successful candidate may progress toward Tax Manager and Pod Leader responsibilities, with a longer-term path to Senior Manager and Partner.

Requirements

• CPA or EA.
• At least 5 years of public accounting experience.
• Strong review experience.
• Client-facing advisory and tax planning exposure.
• Comfort operating independently in a remote environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with real estate investors and rental properties.
• Experience with cost segregation and 1031 exchanges.
• Experience with multi-state tax.
• Background as a strong Tax Senior already performing at the next level, a current Tax Supervisor or Senior Tax Supervisor, or a Tax Manager.
• Interest in client interaction, tax planning, strategy discussions, and future leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare complex business and individual tax returns.
• Lead tax planning and strategy discussions.
• Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor.
• Review staff work and help develop team members.
• Work directly with business owners, entrepreneurs, and real estate investors.
• Support the growth of an advisory-focused practice.
