Requirements

Active CPA license
7+ years of public accounting tax experience
Strong construction industry tax experience
Experience reviewing complex business tax returns
Strong understanding of: Partnership Taxation, S-Corporation Taxation, Multi-State Taxation, Construction Taxation, Long-Term Contract Accounting
Strong client relationship management abilities
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously

Responsibilities

Lead sophisticated tax planning and consulting engagements
Develop proactive tax strategies for construction and real estate clients
Research and resolve complex federal and state tax matters
Advise clients on entity structuring and tax-efficient business decisions
Identify opportunities to improve profitability and reduce tax exposure
Advise clients on percentage-of-completion and completed contract accounting methods
Assist with Section 460 matters and long-term contract accounting issues
Consult on revenue recognition strategies
Support bonding, surety, and financial reporting considerations
Provide guidance on cost segregation and depreciation planning
Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships
Lead client meetings and planning discussions
Provide year-round business and tax consulting support
Communicate complex issues in a practical, understandable manner
Identify opportunities to expand client services
Mentor, supervise, and develop tax professionals
Review workpapers, tax returns, and deliverables
Provide technical guidance and coaching
Help build future leaders within the firm
Promote a collaborative and growth-oriented culture
Assist with firm growth initiatives
Improve processes and operational efficiency
Contribute to leadership discussions and strategic planning
Support recruiting and staff retention initiatives
Help expand the firm's construction and real estate niche expertise
