As a State and Local Senior Associate, your role will involve identifying and implementing tax planning and consulting opportunities for a diverse client base. You will work in a highly interactive team environment, participating in the tax planning and consultation process to deliver an outstanding client experience. This role requires researching client issues, regularly communicating findings with managers, and mentoring Staff and interns to contribute to the team's success. As a Senior Staff member, you will be an integral part of the Tax team, providing excellent client service within a dynamic team environment, offering an excellent opportunity to grow your skills and contribute to the firm's success.

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting required
  • CPA or eligibility to sit for CPA required
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend
  • Ability to grow strong team relationships
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing both internally and externally
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites

  • Act ethically and with integrity at all times
  • Verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in Taxation or LLM is a plus
  • Income Franchise experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement tax planning and consulting opportunities to a diverse client base
  • Participate in the tax planning and consultation process for clients, delivering an outstanding client experience
  • Research client issues and regularly communicate findings with managers
  • Mentor Staff and interns
  • Deliver outstanding client service while integrating in a dynamic team environment
  • Work with the tax team to identify and resolve client issues
