About The Position

The Partnership-focused Senior Tax Analyst assists with partnership tax compliance, tax provision, tax audits and notices, and special projects within the tax department. The ideal candidate combines strong partnership tax technical skills with proficiency in tax technology, including ONESOURCE Income Tax or GoSystems, advanced Excel capabilities, and an interest in process improvement and automation. This role will support the department's continued expansion of internally prepared tax returns and scalable tax compliance processes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/tax required, Master’s degree preferred.
Three (3) plus years of tax experience in a national CPA firm position or a corporate tax department.
One (1) plus years in a Senior role in a national CPA firm.
Partnership tax experience, including preparation or review of Forms 1065, Schedule K-1s, and related state filings.
Experience with Thompson return preparation software, ONESOURCE Income Tax (OIT), or GoSystems, is required.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience working with large datasets, pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, and tax workpaper preparation.
Strong analytical and organizational skills to oversee multiple work assignments.
Strong emphasis on technical skills.
A solid understanding of financial accounting practices.
Excellent communication skills, including strong written communication skills, strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
Proven ability to operate effectively in a remote work environment
Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Alteryx software and Microsoft CoPilot is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide responsive, high-quality service to physician partners through accurate and timely annual Schedule K-1 tax reporting.
Support the income tax compliance process to ensure timely filing of income tax returns and related tax payments across all jurisdictions, whether prepared internally or by external advisors.
Coordinate with external advisors and participate in tax planning discussions as needed.
Lead workpaper preparation processes and assist with the efficient preparation of federal partnership tax returns in OIT software.
Review federal and state partnership income tax returns, including returns prepared internally using OIT software and returns prepared by external advisors.
Assist in special projects including due diligence and M&A transactions, including information gathering and summarizing the tax impact of legal document steps.
Prepare technical tax research for compliance, provision, and ad hoc projects, and present findings to team members as needed.
Prepare well-documented transaction workpapers to support review and delivery to external advisors.
Collaborate with internal departments (accounting, legal, IT) to obtain information needed to prepare tax analysis.
Review tax depreciation and amortization reports for multiple legal entities.
Prepare and review quarterly taxable income estimates, partner tax estimate reports, and state estimated tax calculations and payments.
Prepare responses to taxing authority correspondence and assist with federal, state, and local tax audits, including gathering information, drafting responses, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and implement process improvements through the use of tax technology, automation tools, data analytics, and standardized workpapers to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of tax compliance processes.
Provide support for other tax department projects and processes as needed, including the state and corporate focused team members.
