About The Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Senior Accountant to join our corporate Accounting team in Las Vegas. This role will play a key part in managing multi-jurisdiction tax compliance as the company continues its fast-paced growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on sales, use, and excise tax experience (required)
- Strong knowledge of multi-jurisdiction tax regulations (especially in retail, fuel, and hospitality)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax research tools
- Experience with tax compliance, reporting, and financial data analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in retail, fuel, travel centers, or multi-location environments is a strong plus
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file sales, use, and excise tax returns across multiple states and jurisdictions
- Conduct tax research and interpret regulations to ensure compliance and identify savings opportunities
- Maintain and update the tax calendar, tax database, and compliance tracking
- Extract and analyze financial data from various systems to support accurate tax calculations and reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Assist with special tax projects and initiatives as assigned by the Tax Director
