Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive public accounting experience, primarily focused on individual income tax preparation, review, and planning.
Professional experience preparing individual and business entity tax returns.
Strong tax research, analytical, problem-solving, and client-service skills.

Nice To Haves

CPA license strongly preferred.
UltraTax or comparable professional tax software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare complex individual (Form 1040) and business entity tax returns (Forms 990, 1065, 1120, and 1120S).
Manage client tax onboarding and proforma setup in UltraTax.
Develop and maintain supporting tax schedules, forms, workpapers, and documentation.
Perform tax analysis, including projections, estimates, and client-specific calculations.
Research client-specific tax issues and determine appropriate tax treatment.
Communicate with federal, state, and local taxing authorities.
Participate in tax planning, consulting, and special projects.
Work directly with clients to gather information, explain tax matters, answer questions, and provide guidance.
Provide leadership and technical guidance to other team members, including reviewing work and mentoring staff as assigned.
