About The Position

Encova Insurance is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to help lead and support recruiting strategies that meet current and future business needs. In this highly visible role, you will partner closely with leaders across the organization to build strong candidate pipelines, strengthen our employment brand, and deliver innovative recruiting solutions that attract high-quality talent. The ideal candidate is an experienced, relationship-driven recruiter with at least five years of proven full-cycle recruiting experience and the ability to identify, engage, and close top talent in a competitive market. We are especially interested in someone who brings insurance industry recruiting experience, strong LinkedIn sourcing expertise, and an HR certification such as SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. This role is well suited for a strategic talent acquisition professional who can balance hands-on recruiting execution with consultative partnership, data-driven decision-making, and a passion for delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience. JOB OBJECTIVE : The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, with limited supervision, leads, directs, and supports the talent acquisition function to ensure the organization’s talent needs are consistently met in a proactive, innovative, and efficient manner that supports the strategic and operational goals of the business. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will also perform other HR-related responsibilities as needed to deliver HR services to the enterprise.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years’ proven experience managing full-cycle recruitment is required, which includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, selecting, and hiring candidates.
  • Experience and proficiency with Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of sourcing, selection, and talent acquisition, including strategies, programs, vendors, and tools.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy while handling competing priorities.
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead special projects, in addition to typical recruiting workload.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, web-browsers, and LinkedIn.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment to produce effective decision-making/problem-solving.
  • Consistently display strong initiative to manage work to achieve optimal results.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Ability to use sound logic to influence and persuade.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Experience in successful recruitment programs for key roles and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Track record of developing effective working relationships and strong partnerships with hiring managers to facilitate the recruiting process.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience is strongly preferred.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM SCP certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience or training in one or more of the following areas is preferred: employment law, benefits and compensation, organizational planning, organization development, marketing, employee relations, or training.
  • Demonstrated track record of utilization of innovative talent acquisition techniques.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with all levels of management to develop appropriate talent acquisition strategy to reach and attract a diverse pool of high-quality candidates.
  • Ensure a reliable, high-quality pipeline of top talent, and produce the highest levels of customer service, credibility, satisfaction, and support of our brand.
  • In collaboration with Marketing and other business partners, develop and maintain a compelling employment brand through detailed understanding of Encova Insurance, to attract and retain high-quality talent.
  • Partner with HR and company leadership to drive appropriate talent acquisition initiatives in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage all elements of the recruiting process including job postings, identification and interviewing of the most qualified applicants, guidance on the selection of the best candidates, candidate assessment tools, reference and background checks, job offer.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and/or other human resource team members, such as compensation and business partners, during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for other members of the talent acquisition team.
  • Manage assessment tools and usage in accordance with best practices. This includes but is not limited to system and performance model updates, manager and associate training, and managing the vendor partnerships.
  • Ensure data integrity for all recruiting-related information.
  • Develop, maintain, track and analyze recruiting metrics, including a standard recruiting scorecard based on selected key performance indicators.
  • Manage candidate generation sources including but not limited to web-based sourcing, employment agencies, colleges, and associate referrals.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for managers to ensure effective recruiting techniques are utilized.
  • Manage external search partners and serve as their primary point of contact.
  • Identify new partners as needed; monitor their performance and provide input to staffing strategy and use of firms as required.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to design a campus approach for early career development programs.
  • Oversee the company’s intern program from a recruiting perspective.
  • Periodically travel to office locations, college campuses, career fairs and other recruiting-related venues.
  • Ensure suitable details are completed for background reports for new and existing associates in conjunction with background vendor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
