Senior Systems Engineering, Power System

Schneider Electric•Nashville, TN

About The Position

As a senior technical contributor in Schneider Electric’s Chief Technology Office (CTO) Data Center of the Future Tech Explore team, this role reports to the team leader and leads exploration of next-generation data center power architectures. The position works with Schneider Electric divisions, customers, partners, and universities to identify, model, prototype, and validate power-system architectures that address evolving data center needs, including AI workloads, increasing power density, energy availability, and sustainability goals. The role translates emerging trends into power-system requirements and technology-selection criteria; develops architectures from the grid interface to the IT load; models and simulates system performance; assesses the impact of dynamic AI loads; and leads proof-of-concept builds and laboratory or field validation. It also develops control strategies, evaluates emerging technologies and suppliers, identifies portfolio and incubation opportunities, documents results, mentors engineers, and represents Tech Explore at customer workshops, industry groups, conferences, and standards discussions. The position is full-time and U.S.-based, with a preference for the Boston, Massachusetts area. Travel within North America and internationally is approximately 20–30%. The expected annual pay range is USD 117,600–176,400, including base pay and short-term incentives.
