Senior Systems Applications Engineer

NXP Semiconductors•Austin, TX

About The Position

Join NXP as a Senior Systems Applications Engineer, working with i.MX application processors and current and emerging memory technologies, including LPDDR4/4X/5/5x, DDR5, and LPDDR6 architectures. As part of NXP's global Systems Engineering organization, you will collaborate with the Global DDR Core Team, customers, memory suppliers, silicon architects, and software teams to solve system challenges and drive innovation from concept to production. The Microprocessor Systems Engineering team connects customers with NXP's architecture, silicon design, software, validation, and product management organizations. Based in Austin, Texas, the organization works with global engineering teams to support customers across the i.MX processor portfolio, strategic product introductions, and future embedded computing platforms. In this role, you will provide technical expertise on i.MX processors, DDR technologies, and system architecture; support customer design-in, board bring-up, production ramp, and system-level debug; and help deploy products across industrial, automotive, IoT, AI, networking, and consumer markets. You will work with memory vendors and ecosystem partners on future memory architectures, contribute to processor and memory subsystem roadmaps, analyze system issues across hardware and software, and support silicon bring-up, characterization, and root-cause analysis. You will also conduct customer architecture, schematic, and design reviews and develop reference designs, design guidelines, application notes, and training materials.
