About The Position

As a Systems Analyst on the FIA Data Analytics Platform Team within the Core Wealth Platform Product Area, you will support multiple initiatives aimed at growing our core business and scaling our technology. In this role, you will focus on the data analytics & reporting platform health and modernization efforts of the applications and systems supporting the Fidelity Insurance Agency (FIA). Specifically, you will drive initiatives supporting the data strategy for FIA.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience as a Systems Analyst for software solutions.
• Proven experience researching, optimizing, developing and authoring solution requirements, user stories, and specifications for moderate to complex software systems.
• Proven experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and programming in general.
• Strong understanding and experience with complex relational database schemas and SQL management tools.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts, ETL/ELT tools.
• Familiarity with data governance principles, Snowflake architecture.
• Proven experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Deep knowledge of scrum tools – Jira experience desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science or related technology discipline.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc).
• Familiarity with life insurance products, such as annuities, a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple initiatives aimed at growing our core business and scaling our technology.
• Focus on the data analytics & reporting platform health and modernization efforts of the applications and systems supporting the Fidelity Insurance Agency (FIA).
• Drive initiatives supporting the data strategy for FIA.
• Researching, optimizing, developing and authoring solution requirements, user stories, and specifications for moderate to complex software systems.
• Release coordination.
• Articulate complex system interactions through diagrams and crisp documentation to a wide spectrum of audiences.
• Understand the technical aspects of the software, data flow, including understanding of code to be able to understand the business logic, understand technical architecture.
• Produce artifacts – business flow diagrams.
• Understand solution architecture and partner with Architects, Business Analysts and tech leads.
• Have end to end knowledge of system interactions and be able to articulate well to different audiences both technical and non-technical.
• Prod incidents analysis – Splunk queries, build dashboards/alerts.
