About The Position

Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to work for our company. The client agency is the National Science Foundation. This role leads the delivery of analytical and consultative services across all phases of program execution, including business requirements analysis, software design, system and performance testing, and implementation. The Senior Systems Analyst plans, directs, and coordinates activities in areas such as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and software development. They review and evaluate program resources, including budget and schedule considerations. This role analyzes user needs to define functional requirements and develops solutions for moderately complex to highly complex systems. The analyst applies expertise in information systems architecture, networking, telecommunications, automation, communications protocols, risk management, software development methodologies, lifecycle management, and modeling and simulation. They perform functional decomposition to identify required tasks, interdependencies, and resource needs. The Senior Systems Analyst facilitates and supervises requirements-gathering sessions and ensures that business, system, and integration requirements align with program objectives. They evaluate alternatives and provide actionable recommendations. Additionally, they proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks, while resolving issues to minimize impacts on project success.

Requirements

  • Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC). (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  • Must have 10+ years in data analytics, information systems, automation, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered as a substitution.
  • Proven experience analyzing and supporting HR systems, data warehouse, and analytics solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience with data analytics, reporting, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data integration concepts.
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems such as HRIS, CRM, or data warehouses.
  • Solid understanding of system performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or within cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with data standards and analytics best practices.
