Senior System Engineer (Contract)
About The Position
SourcePro Search has a 12-month contract opportunity for a Senior System Engineer with Active TS/SCI with Lifestyle Poly. This role involves providing Tier 2 and 3 infrastructure support for remote sites, assisting instructors with course-specific training requirements, and handling ISSO responsibilities for E62 SSPs, including JAVA updates and patches. The engineer will design and develop integrated solutions, perform cost analyses and vendor comparisons, and analyze potential systems investments. They will also provide escalated technical support, investigate and resolve program support deficiencies, conduct testing, and lead moderately complex projects. Additionally, the role requires applying advanced methods for process development and documentation, creating training tools, providing technical consultation, and performing maintenance and upgrades on existing systems.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, operating systems programming, or naval architecture.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Active TS/SCI with Lifestyle Poly.
- Solid Leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and 3 infrastructure support for remote sites.
- Assist instructors from E9 with training requirements that are course specific.
- Perform ISSO responsibilities for E62 SSPs, to include JAVA updates, patches, etc.
- Design and develop integrated solutions to meet business requirements or enhance performance.
- Evaluate cost analyses and vendor comparisons of software/hardware systems.
- Analyze potential systems investments and prepare supporting documentation.
- Provide escalated technical support to customers by handling systems-related issues.
- Provide on-call technical support telephonically and/or electronically.
- Analyze and resolve program support deficiencies and conduct testing to enhance performance.
- Conduct moderately complex projects or phases of significant projects.
- Coordinate the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects.
- Apply advanced methods, theories and research techniques.
- Assist in the development, implementation and documentation of processes and procedures.
- Develop and implement training tools and documentation.
- Provide technical consultation on current and proposed systems to other organizations and clients.
- Perform repairs, maintenance and upgrades of existing systems.
- Investigate and resolve matters of significance.
