About The Position

This position provides expert technical and office support for survey projects and serves as a trusted advisor within the survey team. The Senior Survey CAD Technician manages complex survey tasks, guides Survey Technicians, and supports successful project delivery through technical expertise, quality control, data management, and coordination with field crews, project managers, and clients.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, certificate, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in a survey technician or related role.
• Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and with clients.
• Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to resolve complex survey challenges.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex survey tasks and provide expert-level guidance to Survey Technicians at all levels.
• Oversee preparation of detailed drawings, exhibits, legal descriptions, and advanced calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Perform quality control reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Lead deed research efforts and abstract complex data for legal and survey purposes.
• Serve as a liaison between field crews, project managers, and clients to support successful project delivery.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated databases of survey data for long-term project use.
• Provide input on process improvements, training initiatives, and technology upgrades.
