About The Position

This position provides technical and office support for survey projects, assisting with the preparation of survey deliverables while taking on greater responsibility for independent tasks. The role performs survey tasks with minimal guidance from the Survey Project Manager and Project Surveyor, and uses AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare intermediate-level drawings and calculations. It also involves reviewing data for accuracy, preparing field packages and legal documents, occasional field checks, and compiling and processing survey data for project reports and final drawings.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, certificate, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a survey technician or related role.
• Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Initiative and independent problem-solving skills for moderately complex tasks.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Perform survey tasks with minimal guidance from the Survey Project Manager and Project Surveyor.
• Complete intermediate-level drawings and calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Review and verify the accuracy of data before submitting it for review.
• Prepare detailed field packages, legal descriptions, and exhibits.
• Conduct occasional field checks and provide feedback to field crews.
• Compile, analyze, and manipulate survey data for reports and deliverables.
• Assist with deed research and abstracting, create base maps, and process data into final drawings.
