About The Position

R&R Engineers & Surveyors is seeking a Survey CAD Technician to support consistent land development projects. The role produces survey deliverables and converts field data into accurate Civil 3D drawings. The technician works with point clouds, LiDAR, and drone data to prepare clear, client-ready exhibits, coordinating with surveyors and project managers to meet deadlines. The position is full-time, hourly, and non-exempt, with onsite work and some flexibility or hybrid options. Pay is $35–$40.77 per hour depending on experience. Offers are contingent on passing a background check. Applications are due by November 20, 2026, though the deadline may be extended until the position is filled.

Requirements

• Strong Civil 3D skills.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center.
• Solid understanding of survey workflows, boundaries, and coordinate systems.
• Ability to work efficiently, catch mistakes early, and take ownership of work.
• Associate degree or technical certification in CAD, Surveying, or a similar field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with point clouds, LiDAR, or photogrammetry tools such as Pix4D or similar.
• More than 2 years of relevant experience; additional experience may qualify for higher pay.

Responsibilities

• Produce ALTA surveys, plats, easements, topographic surveys, and legal descriptions.
