About The Position

The Senior Supportive Services Manager provides leadership and oversight for Communities First's Supportive Services Department, ensuring high-quality, person-centered services that promote housing stability, self-sufficiency, and overall well-being for program participants. This position supervises and supports Supportive Service Coordinators while maintaining an active role in service delivery, program development, and community partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in supportive services, case management, behavioral health, housing, or human services.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
  • Strong understanding of case management principles and supportive service delivery.
  • Ability to effectively supervise, coach, and develop staff.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and participant-centered practices.
  • Understanding of supportive housing models and housing stability strategies.
  • Working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and community resource systems.
  • Strong crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to analyze data, monitor program performance, and recommend improvements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic case management systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Counseling, Human Services Administration, or related field.
  • Clinical licensure (LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, or similar) preferred.
  • Experience working within supportive housing or housing programs.
  • Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, and other public benefit systems.
  • Experience serving older adults, individuals experiencing homelessness, individuals with disabilities, or other vulnerable populations.
  • Familiarity with person centered care and willingness to pursue additional certifications or training.
  • Experience administering grant-funded programs and outcome reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, support, mentor, and evaluate Supportive Services Managers and other supportive services staff to ensure quality service delivery and professional growth.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership for the Supportive Services Department while assisting with the development and implementation of departmental goals, priorities, and initiatives.
  • Maintain a caseload and provide direct client support as needed while ensuring continuity of services.
  • Support staff in navigating complex client situations, crisis intervention, and coordination of appropriate community resources.
  • Promote trauma-informed, and participant-centered service approaches throughout all supportive service programs.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining quality assurance processes to ensure accurate documentation, timely reporting, and compliance with organizational and funding requirements.
  • Monitor case files and documentation to ensure consistency, quality, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, behavioral health agencies, community organizations, housing partners, Area Agencies on Aging, Community Mental Health agencies, and other referral partners.
  • Assist clients and staff with understanding and accessing community resources, including Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, veteran services, and other public benefit programs.
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of supportive housing services, permanent supportive housing programs, and other community-based initiatives.
  • Assist with program planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting to improve participant outcomes and program effectiveness.
  • Monitor program outcomes and performance measures, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in grant implementation, data collection, reporting, and compliance activities as assigned.
  • Assist with developing departmental policies, procedures, and best practices that promote operational excellence.
  • Encourage staff development through coaching, training, and performance feedback while fostering a collaborative team culture.
  • Promote family centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive service practices, while pursuing additional professional development opportunities as appropriate.
  • Participate in community meetings, collaborative initiatives, and professional networking opportunities representing Communities First, Inc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
