Senior Supply Chain Operations Specialist
About The Position
Bridgestone Americas, Inc. (BSAM) and Bridgestone Europe, Middle East and Africa (BSEMEA) operate collectively as a “Bridgestone West” strategic region, servicing strategic business needs across the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. These subsidiaries of Bridgestone Corporation (globally headquartered in Japan) develop, manufacture, and market a wide range of products and solutions under the Bridgestone, Firestone, and associate brands. This role manages or performs procurement and supply and logistics work for materials and finished goods, or products for resale, encompassing at least two of the following areas: Procurement, Demand/Inventory/Production Planning & Control, Warehousing, Distribution & Transportation, and International Trade.
Requirements
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities
- Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision.
- Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals.
- Supports continuous improvement/automation activities.
- Uses advanced analytical/technical problem solving to develop new solutions to existing problems/procedures.
- Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
