About The Position

VDS is recruiting a Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer to take machined and fabricated parts from prototype to full-rate production at outside suppliers. The role moves mechanical fabrication parts from new product introduction into production, qualifies new suppliers for the approved supplier list, establishes tooling and production lines at supplier sites, and leads capacity ramps. It also involves statistical process control reviews and closing out supplier root-cause and corrective actions. The position is direct hire and full-time, with a base salary of $146,000–$194,000 plus equity. No clearance is required; the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret clearance is preferred. Travel is 50% or more.

Requirements

At least 6 years in supplier quality or supplier industrialization.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or supply chain; mechanical or materials engineering preferred.
Expertise in mechanical fabrication, CAD, and GD&T.

Nice To Haves

Defense or aerospace experience.
Experience with high-mix, low-volume production.
Experience working at startup pace.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.
