Your Team As the Sr. Supervisor, Utilities, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for ensuring the reliable and compliant operation of critical site utility systems. You will foster a culture of safety, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement while supporting manufacturing needs and corporate goals. You will serve as a mentor and trusted partner across functions, driving engagement, technical excellence, and operational discipline within the Utilities organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in an industrial environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in utilities operations and maintenance.
  • Hands-on knowledge of utilities systems (steam, compressed air, water systems, HVAC, power).
  • Familiarity with CAD, FMEA, Six Sigma, and control systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, EPA, OSHA, EQB).
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop technical teams.
  • Strong collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Nice To Haves

  • Wastewater Operator (Level 4 preferred).
  • Certifications such as HAZWOPER, RECRA, DOT

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Utilities operations personnel and oversee maintenance resources across all shifts.
  • Build team capability by identifying required skills and implementing development plans.
  • Manage staffing levels and skill mix to meet manufacturing and operational demands.
  • Coordinate contractors and contingent workers to support engineering and production goals.
  • Develop strong partnerships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure reliable operation of utilities systems including steam, power (primary and backup), cooling and chilled water, compressed air, nitrogen, and HVAC.
  • Develop and execute maintenance and operations schedules to maximize uptime and efficiency.
  • Establish and track KPIs aligned with reliability strategies and world-class maintenance practices.
  • Monitor performance using utilities systems to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues to prevent impact to manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements (FDA, EPA, OSHA, EQB) and corporate standards.
  • Promote Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) practices and report incidents as required.
  • Support environmental reporting and permitting processes.
  • Ensure adherence to cGMP and quality system requirements through routine inspections and audits.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready facilities and equipment.
  • Manage MRO inventory and ensure availability of critical spare parts.
  • Develop scopes of work and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support capital projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets and monitor expenses.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and operational records.
  • Represent the site in corporate initiatives and cross-functional teams.
  • Provide on-call support for emergency situations.
  • Perform administrative and additional duties as needed.
