About The Position

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is actively seeking an Operations Senior Supervisor to join our production team in Rochester, NY. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, this newly added position plays a critical role maintaining production lines for our defense customer.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 8 years prior experience or Graduate Degree with 2 years of prior related experience in Operations Management. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience

Nice To Haves

Experience implementing continuous improvement to procedures and processes
Experience with planning and establishing operational objectives for a team with some impact on department results
Experience in general assembly and test operations
Experience in SMT lines, PWBA and FWBA operations, and radio builds
Experience in NPI teams

Responsibilities

Responsible for production lines including SMT lines, board operations, radio builds
Supervise 20-30 individuals typically consisting of support level employees (technicians or assemblers)
Provide day-to-day work direction for direct reports, focusing on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions
Communicate with parties within and outside of own team, which may include customers or vendors
Explain and interpret policies, practices, and procedures of the area of responsibility to others within the organization
Plan and establish operational objectives for a team within a clearly defined job area
Deliver operational results that have some impact on the achievement of departmental results
Assign tasks to a team to achieve operational targets, service standards, etc
