Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. RMD Logistics has an opening for a Sr. Logistics Supervisor. This position will be the primary focal point for shipping and receiving operations across all Missile Integration and Test Facility based programs, including company owned and GFM depot material. This position requires constant coordination with numerous factories and programs to meet all material management expectations. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and organizational skills necessary to monitor and control all inbound and outbound shipments in accordance with Raytheon and DOD instructions and regulations. A familiarity with Raytheon’s SAP based business management system (PRISM) and RAYTRAK movement system will help facilitate disposition and movement of explosives material according to MRP requirements. Tasks to be performed will entail coordinating daily and weekly requirements with programs/operating factories to determine material requirements at the factory and for outbound shipments; managing the timely receipt of material, inventory transactions and cycle counts; and communicating with Logistics leadership, production and depot planners, and factory operations.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • People management/leadership skills.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
  • U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous material accountability experience across multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
  • Proven understanding of metrics methods; development/execution of root cause and corrective action plans.
  • Previous experience working in a cross-functional and/or bargaining unit environment.
  • Understanding regulations including Class 1 compatibility rules in a DOD or Defense contractor setting, CFR, DFAR, FAR, ITAR, DoD and DSS.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise team of Material Specialists, Material Handlers and Warehouse Inventory Production Specialists.
  • Prioritize support through competing needs across 7 operating factories in support of 22 separate programs.
  • Provide a safe work environment and will actively lead and engage in safety improvements discussions.
  • Assign daily routes, conduct stand-up meetings, set priorities and review reports/metrics to locate problem areas and create solutions.
  • Direct all shipping and receiving actions.
  • Monitor and approve timecards for assigned employees.
  • Ensure employees comply with all safety, security, fleet and required training.
  • Coordinate factory requirements with production planners, warehouse inventory production specialists, traffic administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure timely inbound/outbound material flow.
  • Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare RCCA analysis for logistics review boards.
  • Order supplies as required.
  • Execute cycle count and other inventory accuracy requirements to ensure 100% accountability.
