About The Position

The mission matters. So do the people behind it. With advancing defense technology at our core, what sets us apart is a culture of collaboration, purpose, and impact. Space is a critical domain, connecting our technologies, our security and our humanity. Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an experienced Program Mgt-Subcontract Principal to join our National Security Space (NSS) team as a Supply Chain Strategy Lead. You will be accountable to our multiple mission areas from a supply chain strategy and capture perspective. Responsibilities will include driving supplier capacity assessments and evaluating their ability to ramp to rate, supplier resiliency, supplier designation, and early engagement initiatives that partner with the MSAC organization. Additionally, the role may evolve based on the highly visible nature and expectations of NSS PM executive stakeholders and the Capture Excellence organization. You will be responsible for the technical and programmatic oversight of subcontractors providing major subsystems in support of strategic business capture and program execution efforts. You will also be expected to identify novel suppliers that can positively disrupt the marketplace and improve Lockheed Martin’s pWin, if added to new program pursuit. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of NSS and LM Space. We are looking for someone with demonstrated capture experience and the appropriate technical and business acumen to balance priorities, facilitate issue prevention/resolution, and clearly communicate status and needs to our customers/partners, as well as Lockheed Martin and supplier executives. Further, you should have an inherent knowledge of commercial and defense industrial base, and the ability to leverage that perspective in support of NSS.
