Senior Structural Inspector
About The Position
This role involves inspecting various structural components of high-rise frames, including foundations, columns, beams, and slabs. The inspector will be responsible for reviewing plans to ensure site work aligns with structural drawings and engineering designs. Additionally, the position requires witnessing material tests such as concrete cylinder breaks, steel welding tests, and soil compaction checks. A key responsibility is reporting any defects found, such as cracks, misalignments, or bad welds, and halting unsafe work. The role also includes managing daily inspection logs and tracking testing certificates, as well as leading junior inspectors and coordinating with contractors.
Requirements
- Experience in inspecting foundations, columns, beams, and slabs for high-rise frames.
- Ability to review plans and compare site work with structural drawings and engineering designs.
- Experience in witnessing concrete cylinder breaks, steel welding tests, and soil compaction checks.
- Proficiency in documenting defects such as cracks, misalignments, or bad welds.
- Skill in writing daily inspection logs and tracking testing certificates.
- Experience in leading junior inspectors and coordinating with contractors.
