Senior Structural Engineer (onsite)
About The Position
This is a temporary, onsite position for a Senior Structural Engineer in Juno Beach, FL, with an estimated duration of 12 months and possible extensions. The role involves providing engineering support for wind, solar, energy storage, clean fuels, substation, and transmission projects. The engineer will be responsible for reviewing submittals, interpreting codes, checking analysis models, managing deliverables, and leading vendor coordination. Travel to North America (10-20% of the time) is required. The position offers the opportunity to work with a leading energy provider, gain experience with new technologies, and enjoy a great campus environment.
Requirements
- Experience with Structural engineering in wind, solar, or BESS projects (5+ years)
- Experience with Reviewing and redlining structural design submittals (foundations, steel, concrete, etc.)
- Experience with Interpreting and applying national codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC) and renewable energy industry standards
- Experience with Checking structural analysis models and construction drawings for design adequacy and constructability
- Experience with Structural engineering deliverables management using platforms like Unifier, Bluebeam, and SharePoint
- Experience with Leading vendor coordination and guiding third-party engineering firms with minimal oversight
- Able to travel to North America; 10-20% of time
- B.S. or M.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering

- Experience with geotechnical engineering principles and construction materials behavior
- P.E. License
Responsibilities
- Provides responsive engineering support on wind, solar, energy storage, clean fuels, substation, and transmission opportunities within the Engineering & Construction Business Unit
- Maintains/promotes best practices and sponsors lunch & learn sessions on civil/structural topics
- Participates in design & constructability reviews and provides timely & accurate comments/feedback to ensure no schedule issues
- Drives resolution of critical issues during the execution phase of projects that can jeopardize project budget and/or schedule if not resolved in a timely manner
- Ensures that recommended course of action satisfies any third-party obligations
- Supports project financing efforts to ensure a level of comfort with all engaged Independent Engineers and Lenders that results in preferential and timely financial closings
- Helps to define and influence project requirements and scope, including assessment of execution risk and development of risk mitigation strategies
