About The Position

We are hiring! AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Senior Structural Bridge Engineer to join our team in the Jacksonville, FL Urban office to work on a variety of structural engineering projects. This role will operate on a hybrid schedule, with in-office requirements fulfilled at our client’s Jacksonville office. Your role Designing bridges and other ancillary structures. Perform design using OpenRoad Modeler. May require some travel to the Main District Lake City office for collaboration with other FDOT staff members. Selects problems for investigation, developing novel approaches and solutions to technical problems. Conducts quality control checks, reviewing calculations, designs, evaluations and specifications developed by design staff for accuracy and completeness, performing on-site inspections and reviews, and conducting or overseeing remedial design work. Keeps abreast of state-of-the-art methods and developments in area of specialization. Recommends changes or improvements to plans and programs. May function as the project manager for routine to semi-complex projects. Responsibilities may include marketing, negotiating contracts, budgeting, financial management, schedule coordination and resources allocation. Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering.
  • 4-10 years of experience.
  • Working proficiency with OpenBridge Modeler (OBM).
  • Collaborates effectively in knowledge sharing environments.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continued professional development.
  • Strong technical writing and communications skills.

Nice To Haves

  • M.S. or graduate level technical coursework preferred.
  • PE Preferred, not required.
  • FDOT experience is a plus.
