About The Position

TELUS Retail Limited (TRL) is seeking a Senior Strategy Manager to join the People and Performance Excellence team. This role is crucial in building TRL into a top workplace by focusing on attracting top talent, defining success in frontline roles, and creating programs for engagement and growth. The Senior Strategy Manager will act as a liaison between the Talent Acquisition team and the field, translating frontline needs into talent strategies and ensuring the right people are hired. TRL is a network of corporately owned stores serving customers across Canada with telecommunications, health, and security needs, operating with a 'people first' culture.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in talent acquisition, recruitment strategy, or workforce planning.
  • Experience developing and executing retention or engagement programs.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Human Resources, or Organizational Psychology (or equivalent experience).
  • Bi-lingual (French & English).

Responsibilities

  • Define talent profiles and role expectations by partnering with field leadership to articulate competencies, expectations, and success profiles for frontline roles.
  • Act as the field liaison for Talent Acquisition, translating field needs into recruitment strategies and providing feedback on candidate quality and hiring effectiveness.
  • Build retention and engagement programs by leveraging data and field feedback to enhance team member experience, drive engagement, and reduce turnover.
  • Leverage data and insights (recruitment metrics, engagement surveys, retention data, performance metrics, field feedback) to analyze trends, identify root causes, and develop actionable program recommendations for leadership.
  • Manage program execution by developing project plans, timelines, and deliverables, and coordinating across teams for smooth implementation.
  • Champion frontline advocacy by representing TRL team interests and ensuring field perspectives are integrated into talent strategies.
  • Stay ahead of trends by monitoring best practices in talent acquisition, retention, and employee engagement to identify opportunities for innovation.
