About The Position

This full-time position involves working the evening shift and requires the ability to collaborate effectively with a team and prioritize tasks to support the Operating Room schedule. The role includes decontaminating, preparing, packaging, and sterilizing surgical instrumentation and supplies. The technician will perform all duties of a Certified Sterile Technician, ensuring timely distribution of processed materials with proper documentation and reporting. A key responsibility is to ensure the surgical schedule has the correct instrumentation as directed by the supervisor and SPD/OR Liaison. The technician will also operate the sterilizer and ensure staff meet a minimum production of 4 trays each.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years previous experience in this job classification required.
  • Computer knowledge required.
  • Good interpersonal skills necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation from a Central Services Technician course and Certification preferred.
  • 5 years preferred experience in this job classification.

Responsibilities
