Requirements

  • BS degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Operations, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Engineering of low voltage systems (Fire Alarm, Security and HVAC Controls).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience using Selection Navigator to engineer projects.
  • Experience executing program initiatives which align with business goals and budget.
  • Experience in identifying and assessing moderately complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Must be willing/able to focus for extended periods of time in front of a computer working on complex MS-Excel sheets and other Selection collateral.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, VISIO, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a highly dynamic environment, dedication to teamwork, a strong work initiative, and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas.
  • Ability to work with basic Boolean programming logic.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience communicating business initiatives in a clear and concise manner to multiple types of audiences and channels.
  • Structured programming experience (C# and VBA) a plus.
  • Experience with Agile development methodology a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the strategic design and development of both Product and System Selection used by the field in Selection Navigator.
  • Assist in the creation of the overall Systems strategy, tools and processes.
  • Support change management across the organization in support of Global Field Organization (GFO) strategy.
  • Execute long term and short term plans involving Selector development, work plans, timelines, and financial outcomes for the Installation business.
  • Provide anticipatory feedback to Director regarding pain points, inefficiencies, opportunities, change management requirements and any unmet business needs in existing operations.
  • Own the seamless deployment of implemented programs to the business upon completion.
  • Drive standardization, simplicity, and harmonization of processes.
  • Partner with Global Product and IT owners to identify opportunities to align approaches, share feedback and recommend improvements.
  • Partner with Product Owners to drive the development team to build detailed user stories and estimate efforts.
  • Support the design, build, and test activities of the application including integration to boundary systems.
