About The Position

Crusoe is seeking a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager to own the execution model for their Cloud Engineering organization. This role is crucial for scaling the organization from 380 to 550 people by establishing clear processes for priority setting, dependency management, work tracking, and leadership reporting. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in infrastructure, distributed systems, and a strong understanding of software engineering principles. They will act as a servant leader, taking ownership of ambiguous directives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes. The role involves building and implementing an operating model within Cloud Infrastructure first, then driving adoption across the broader Cloud Engineering organization.

Requirements

10+ years in technical program management, software engineering, or a technical product role with production systems experience.
Ability to read a design doc and identify critical dependencies.
Track record of driving multi-team technical initiatives to committed dates in an infrastructure, cloud, or platform organization.
Experience building and proving a process (e.g., operating cadence, planning model) and driving adoption.
Ability to unblock teams without formal authority, demonstrating precision and follow-through.
Real fluency with issue tracking at scale, including driving adoption or migration where behavior change was the primary challenge.
Ability to transform messy, multi-source data into a clear picture of execution health.
Comfort with ambiguity, incomplete documentation, informal processes, and in-flight initiatives.
Excellent written communication skills for influencing engineers.
Scrappy, low-ego, high-drive attitude.
Comfortable taking ambiguous, high-level directives and operating with full autonomy.
Tactfully align cross-functional partners and drive results.

Nice To Haves

Time spent at AWS, GCP, Azure, CoreWeave, Lambda Labs, or a similar cloud provider.
Hands-on familiarity with Kubernetes.
Experience with operating-system or distributed-systems work at the infrastructure layer.
Background in AI/ML infrastructure or large-scale GPU fleets.
Experience running an operating-model or planning-process rollout across multiple organizations with measurable adoption.
Working knowledge of Jira automation, Confluence, Grafana, or Sigma.
Appetite to grow this into a function and manage a small team.

Responsibilities

Own the view of engineering priorities across Cloud Infrastructure, tracking commitments, progress, and deviations from the plan.
Coordinate and unblock teams on major initiatives spanning compute, storage, networking, and Crusoe Managed Kubernetes.
Drive initiatives to committed dates and surface slips early for leadership action.
Measure and reduce time-to-unblock on cross-team dependencies.
Run the Cloud Infrastructure staff meeting, ensuring it produces decisions and actions.
Partner with Cloud Product and Technical Product Management on planning cycles to create decision forums.
Partner with the Chief of Staff organization on headcount planning, operating rhythm, and strategic direction.
Produce recurring leadership updates and executive readouts on Cloud Infrastructure execution health.
Take ownership of cross-cutting problems without a clear owner and drive them to resolution or a named owner.
Support the Chief of Staff on strategic projects spanning Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering.
Drive adoption of Jira and issue-tracking discipline across Cloud Infrastructure.
Own and maintain Jira, Confluence, and dashboard artifacts for these programs.
Automate recurring tasks and replace manual chases with forms, scripts, queries, or scheduled reminders.
Develop a clear, at-a-glance view of Cloud Infrastructure execution health for leadership.
