About The Position

Marvell's Global Supply Management organization is a strategic enabler of the company's leadership in cloud, AI, networking, optical interconnect, custom silicon, and accelerated infrastructure solutions. As AI data center deployments continue to drive demand for advanced semiconductor packaging, HBM integration, and leading-edge manufacturing technologies, our procurement organization plays a critical role in securing the supply ecosystem required to support rapid growth and technology innovation. The team manages strategic supplier relationships across foundries, OSATs, substrate suppliers, assembly and test providers, capital equipment suppliers, and technology ecosystem partners. Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Product Management, Finance, and Manufacturing teams, the organization develops long-term sourcing strategies that ensure technology readiness, capacity availability, supply continuity, and cost competitiveness. The Senior Staff Manager will be a key member of the team responsible for advancing Marvell's sourcing strategy across advanced packaging technologies used in AI and data center products, while also driving strategic procurement initiatives with semiconductor test equipment suppliers supporting both product qualification and high-volume manufacturing environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of procurement, supply chain, sourcing, operations, or supplier management experience within the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and managing strategic supplier relationships.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and product development flows.
  • Demonstrated analytical, financial, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or Master's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business.
  • Direct experience sourcing one or more of the following: Advanced packaging services, OSAT services, Semiconductor test equipment, Semiconductor capital equipment, Manufacturing services.
  • Familiarity with industry-leading suppliers with OSAT, ATE and laminate space.
  • Experience supporting AI accelerators, networking ASICs, custom silicon, cloud infrastructure products, or high-performance computing platforms.
  • Understanding of semiconductor packaging and test development cycles from engineering qualification through high-volume manufacturing.
  • Experience managing annual spend programs exceeding $50M.
  • Preferred knowledge in several of the following areas: Advanced Packaging (CoWoS, CoWoS-L, 2.5D packaging, 3D packaging, Chiplet integration, HBM packaging, Silicon interposers, Flip-chip technologies, Advanced package substrates, Heterogeneous integration), Assembly & Test (OSAT business models, Product qualification flows, Yield improvement methodologies, Production test strategy, High-volume manufacturing operations), Test Equipment (Automated Test Equipment (ATE), Wafer sort, Final test, Burn-in, System-level test, Handlers and probers, Test interface hardware, Capacity planning and utilization management).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for advanced packaging services, assembly and test operations, semiconductor test equipment, engineering development systems, and production test infrastructure.
  • Lead supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract management activities.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships across global suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Drive supplier performance improvements across cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness, and technology capability.
  • Support sourcing activities for advanced packaging technologies, including 2.5D packaging, 3D packaging, Chiplet architectures, HBM-integrated designs, silicon interposer-based solutions, advanced substrate technologies, and heterogeneous integration platforms.
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to align sourcing strategies with future technology roadmaps.
  • Develop long-term capacity and supplier engagement strategies to support AI and data center product growth.
  • Lead commercial and strategic sourcing initiatives with semiconductor test equipment suppliers.
  • Partner closely with Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing teams to understand future equipment requirements.
  • Establish procurement strategies for Automated Test Equipment (ATE), Burn-in equipment, System-level test solutions, Probe and handler equipment, Test interface hardware, and Production qualification platforms.
  • Negotiate capital equipment purchases, maintenance agreements, service contracts, and long-term supply arrangements.
  • Drive supplier roadmap alignment to support emerging test requirements associated with high-performance data center products.
  • Collaborate across Product Engineering, Package Engineering, Test Engineering, Operations, Supply Planning, Finance, Quality, and Executive Leadership.
  • Participate in NPI reviews and manufacturing readiness planning.
  • Influence sourcing decisions that support product scalability and technology competitiveness.
  • Lead competitive bidding activities and supplier negotiations.
  • Develop should-cost analyses and benchmarking models.
  • Identify and execute productivity and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Support annual budgeting, procurement forecasting, and savings targets.
  • Assess supply risks related to capacity constraints, equipment availability, supplier concentration, geopolitical exposure, and technology transitions.
  • Develop mitigation plans, alternate sourcing strategies, and business continuity plans.
  • Monitor industry developments that may impact advanced packaging and test equipment supply chains.
