About The Position

The Procurement team at Marvell plays a critical role in ensuring the company’s operational efficiency and cost competitiveness. This team is responsible for sourcing and managing suppliers for materials, components, and services that power Marvell’s semiconductor solutions. By negotiating strategic contracts, optimizing supply chains, and mitigating risks, the Procurement team helps secure reliable, high-quality resources at the best value. The teams work directly influences product development timelines, cost structures, and overall profitability. Through strong supplier partnerships and proactive risk management, the team enables Marvell to maintain agility in a dynamic market, support innovation, and deliver cutting-edge technology to customers worldwide.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of procurement experience in semiconductor manufacturing, including direct experience managing the optics/optical technology supply base (e.g., supplier qualification, contract negotiation, capacity planning)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and capacity planning specific to the optics industry
  • Experience with global supplier management (APAC experience preferred), and working effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated success supporting high-volume ramps for CPO/NPO/optical modules and new product introductions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure uninterrupted material supply for NPI and high-volume production, including sourcing support for optical components and negotiation of ad hoc supplier charges.
  • Monitor and resolve material shortages and supply constraints; leverage data to identify risks and drive cross-functional mitigation plans.
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships with optics and optical component suppliers; lead business reviews to improve performance, cost, and overall value.
  • Execute purchase orders and coordinate closely with contract manufacturers (CMs) to meet demand and delivery commitments.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through volume leverage, process improvements, and supplier negotiations across the optical supply chain, while monitoring market trends to mitigate cost volatility and supply risk.
  • Support additional projects and responsibilities based on evolving business needs.
