About The Position

The Senior Staff Engineer, Field Application Engineering (FAE) works on the Sales team with Tier One customers, connecting their technical needs with Infineon's solutions and building long-term customer partnerships. The role focuses on a motor control account and is responsible for identifying opportunities for Infineon products, developing system-selling discussions, and contributing to the account team's design-win pipeline and targets alongside the Sales Account Manager. The position supports one Segment A account, maximizing sockets and product content across relevant customer applications.

Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
1–2 years of experience in the automotive or semiconductor industry.
Some system-level experience.
Familiarity with automotive motor control applications.
Proactive approach and good networking skills.
Experience with software simulations and schematic reviews.
Ability to translate complex technical details into a concise customer value proposition.

Nice To Haves

Experience with AI tools or programming.

Responsibilities

Engage with the technical teams at Tier One accounts to identify opportunities for Infineon solutions and create system-selling discussions.
Contribute with the Sales Account Manager to the account team's design-win pipeline and achievement of targets.
Identify customer solutions and represent them in block-diagram format for internal reviews.
Maximize bill-of-materials share using the PGO metric.
Collaborate with the Sales tandem partner to create an overarching account strategy.
Focus on the motor control account and maximize sockets and content in relevant customer applications for one Segment A account.
Present technical solutions at the application level.
Use digital tools to manage account opportunities.
Provide feedback to product line and marketing teams using digital tools such as Capri.
