About The Position

The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for monthly journal entries and annual filing, such as 990 TaxReturn, Cost Report, Workers Compensation Audit, 1099 Forms and UnclaimedProperty. The Senior Accountant is also responsible the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll and timekeeping systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an accounting or finance related field, or equivalent education.
  • At least 3 years of accounting and/or payroll experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting theories, practices and GAAP.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including functions, formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, data visualization, and automation using macros and VBA.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in an accounting or finance-related field
  • Experience with accounting or finance in a hospital or healthcare system
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
