About The Position

This position is responsible for daily reporting functions for JC Hospitality LLC, the ownership group for Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. It involves analyzing, evaluating, summarizing, reconciling, adjusting, and/or reclassifying accounting and operational information to provide timely and accurate financial reporting, while maintaining financial records in accordance with procedures.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of automated financial systems required.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and Excel required.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Previous working experience as compliance manager for 5+ years.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the industry's regulations and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of reporting operations and procedures.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Critical-thinker and problem-solver.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees as well as outside contacts.
  • Ability to review, comprehend, and analyze all necessary documentation.

  • Knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting.
  • Use financial systems and proficiency with Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries for input to the General Ledger and to accounting sub-systems.
  • Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, entertainment contracts, accruals, fixed assets, and prepaid expenses.
  • Analyze and evaluate accounting and operational information to ensure that items are properly summarized and posted in a timely and accurate manner; summarizes, reconciles, adjusts, and/or reclassifies information as needed.
  • Assist with preparation and reconciliation of items related to the ongoing construction project for the renovation of the property.
  • Reconcile activity and prepare billings for multiple tenant outlets on property.
  • Accurately prepare and distribute daily reporting for management's use.
  • Aid internal, external, and/or regulatory auditors in the preparation of their examinations.
  • Anticipate ongoing changes, problems and opportunities to maintain effective systems and procedures and actively contribute to systems and process improvement.
  • Assist in special projects as required by Management.
  • Other duties assigned by Management.
