About The Position

The Senior Accountant will work closely with Finance leadership and hospital departments to support budgeting, audit preparation, vendor payments, and process improvement initiatives. This role involves performing advanced accounting work independently, including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will prepare accounting analysis and reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Associate degree and equivalent experience.
Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including application of GAAP principles.
Must be proficient in GAAP accounting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
Complex computer skills required –Excel (pivot tables, v-look up, etc.).
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Efficient time management skills.
Strong financial analysis skills.
Mastery of accounting software.
