About The Position

Regular responsibilities of the Senior Staff Accountant include completing the monthly closing process for divisional and corporate entities. The Senior Staff Accountant will review and prepare journal entries, analyze and publish financial statements. This role involves preparing financial information monthly/quarterly/annually using approved company financial reporting tools, ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and entering journal entries, and assisting in month-end close processes and reconciliations. The position also requires preparing interim and year-end audit work papers, analyzing general ledger accounts and interpreting data utilizing spreadsheets, and maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules for internal GAAP books and tax for multiple legal entities. Additionally, the Senior Staff Accountant will provide ERP software support for locations nationwide, participate in continuous improvement efforts supporting various business segments, and perform other related duties as required and assigned. Occasional overnight travel is possible with this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent years of related experience, required
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, required
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness and ability to train operational partners in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, required

Nice To Haves

  • Accounting experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment, strongly preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Ax, a plus
