About The Position

IcyBox is hiring a Senior SRE / Infrastructure Engineer to keep its site and app fast, reliable, and ready to scale. The role owns AWS infrastructure and helps ensure availability during product drops and traffic spikes. The engineer will design, build, and operate infrastructure; manage infrastructure as code; establish observability and service-level objectives; prepare systems for peak traffic; lead incident response; improve deployment and container orchestration; manage cloud costs; and own backups, disaster recovery, and database reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
• Deep AWS experience, including EC2, ECS or EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudFront.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code skills with Pulumi, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration on Kubernetes or ECS.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
• Scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Experience leading incident response for critical production systems.

Nice To Haves

• AWS certifications, such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer.
• Experience handling flash sales or sudden e-commerce traffic spikes.
• PostgreSQL or MySQL performance tuning experience.
• Cloud cost optimization experience.
• Startup or high-growth company experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and run infrastructure on AWS.
• Manage infrastructure as code with Pulumi.
• Set up monitoring, logging, alerting, and service-level objectives (SLOs).
• Prepare for traffic spikes from product drops and promotions through load testing and autoscaling.
• Lead on-call, incident response, and blameless postmortems.
• Improve deployment pipelines and container orchestration.
• Control cloud costs as the company grows.
• Own backups, disaster recovery, and database reliability.
