About The Position

As a Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a diverse technical team on the Maintenance of Space Situational Awareness Integrated Capabilities (MOSSAIC) Space Surveillance Telescope (SST) team. This position supports the Space Defense portfolio within the Space & Mission Systems segment, a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together. Requirements

2+ years’ experience with SysML/MBSE
Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractors
Ability to negotiate solutions among functional groups (Systems Engineering, Mission Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.)
Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by related work experience
Strong coordination and organization skills with a focus on details
Proficient with domain knowledge (space systems engineering, ground optical systems, general systems)
Active Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience with and knowledge of Space Domain Awareness mission and systems
Experience with MagicDraw MBSE tool
Experience with development and editing of MBSE diagrams, requirements, use-cases, and traceability to requirements
Experience with Engineering Drawings and traceability
MagicDraw Rational Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORs) experience
SysML/MBSE experience
Willingness to travel to remote location for up to a month per year

Responsibilities

Participate in agile execution, MBSE, and requirements analysis.
Possess interpersonal leadership skills with support to customers, including meetings and briefings.
Possess DoD engineering experience, System Development Life Cycle knowledge, Familiarity with DoD 5000.
Experience with DoD Systems Engineering artifacts (SEP, SEMP, TEMP, CMP, DMP).
Experience with INCOSE and/or NASA Systems Engineering Handbook requirements writing guide.
