About The Position
Work as part of a development team in the Systems Engineering department which includes support of requirement development, design and architecture generation, test, integration, and certification of complex systems installed on airborne platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Physics, etc.) and a minimum of 4 years related work experience, or Graduate Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Physics, etc.) and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, or Minimum of 8 years of prior work experience in a directly applicable field.

- A Secret Clearance
- An active TS/SCI clearance is highly desirable
- Prior experience integrating mission systems on airborne platforms.
- DOORS experience
- Digital Databus Standards (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553) experience
- Experience conducting first article verification testing
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills
- Experience working with subcontractors and US Government customers.
- Experience working successfully both independently and in a team environment with the ability to lead teams through a system development and integration cycle.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop physical architectures incorporating mission system equipment into airborne systems for military and commercial customers. These systems vary from program to program, so the ability to quickly learn and integrate new systems is critical. This requires a baseline understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Translate customer and airworthiness requirements into unique verifiable system level requirements
- Lead Program Integrated Product Teams of cross-disciplined engineers with internal and external members
- Become a focal point for conversation with the customer on technical issues
- Define requirement traceability methods
- Perform the systems engineering trade study process
- Evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness
- Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements
- Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system design
- Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical professionals
- Ability to use standard Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Ability to operate within a Product Lifecycle Manager (PLM); TeamCenter preferred
