About The Position

This role involves the procurement of mechanical and electro-mechanical commodities. The Senior Specialist will compile and analyze statistical data to determine the feasibility of buying products and establish price objectives. Responsibilities include approving and qualifying vendors, obtaining quotes, examining bids, and making awards. The position requires following up on all awards through order completion, negotiating with suppliers, and analyzing supplier operations to determine factors affecting prices and achieve the lowest cost while ensuring quality, reliability, and schedule adherence. The role may also involve preparing requests for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.

Requirements

  • 10 years or more experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
  • 10 years or more experience in negotiations
  • 10 years or more experience in procurement of mechanical and electro-mechanical commodities
  • 10 years or more experience in the field and will represent the organization as the prime contact on a project or program
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
