About The Position

L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and a solid understanding of designing and integrating electrical assemblies into broader level aerospace systems. This role involves contribution to the detailed design, development, and execution of complex electrical systems projects. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality electrical designs. At this location, Coleman Aerospace produces complex single, two, and three stage launch vehicles used to support ballistic missile defense testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant Electrical, Systems and Test engineering experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Requires strong knowledge of job area.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the detailed design, development, integration, and test of electrical systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and contribute to a wide variety of problem-solving efforts throughout the design and development process.
  • Support the planning and execution of project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones.
  • Apply systems engineering principles to ensure the integration and compatibility of electrical systems with other subsystems.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and systems engineers, to achieve project objectives.
