About The Position

STV is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering Specialist for our Buildings Division in our Douglasville, PA office. The role involves performing client-facing lead duties on numerous projects, preparing engineering documents and equipment specifications, ensuring the application of electrical engineering principles and design guidelines, and providing construction observation, inspection, and field support. This position also includes mentoring interns and co-ops, developing cost estimates and project plans, and collaborating with other trades. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management, adaptability, client relationship, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently under pressure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) from an accredited electrical engineering university.
  • 9+ years of experience.
  • Proficient in all our typical software programs (REVIT, AutoCAD, BIM360, ACC, AGi32, Visual, COM-Check).
  • Strong time management skills and pays close attention to details.
  • Adaptable, agile, and responsive to quick changes in direction.
  • Ability to establish rapport and credibility with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership and work well in a team.
  • Actively demonstrate initiatives and able to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform client-facing lead duties on numerous projects.
  • Prepare engineering documents and equipment specifications to meet contracted scope of work.
  • Ensure application of electrical engineering principles and design guidelines.
  • Provide construction observation, inspection, and field support such as: answering RFIs, reviewing and approving equipment submittals, and recording existing conditions.
  • Mentor interns and co-ops working under his supervision on his projects.
  • Assist other electrical engineers on their projects as needed.
  • Develop cost estimates for the electrical scope.
  • Create project plan and project schedule.
  • Obtain basic understanding of other trades such as architectural, mechanical, civil, and structural.
