About The Position

The Corporate Actions team manages the end-to-end lifecycle of Corporate Action events ensuring accurate and timely processing to mitigate risk. They process entitlements on mandatory/voluntary events, reconcile cash and security positions, and communicate with various stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years Back Office experience within financial services industry
  • Knowledge of Corporate Action Principals & Custody Platforms
  • Intermediate MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Empowerment to complete all tasks as assigned
  • individual must display a good understanding of escalation

Responsibilities

  • Manage various workflows to ensure thorough and accurate review of Corporate Action information to communicate clearly to our clients.
  • Review and validate incoming client instructions and ensure all tenders are submitted accurately, prior to stated deadlines.
  • Give priority to urgent elections while managing short deadlines and high volumes.
  • Reconcile and balance entitlements received prior to posting to client accounts.
  • Ensure post balancing occurs, and any associated breaks are appropriately managed and cleared.
  • Escalate all critical issues identified immediately to ensure risk mitigation and control.
  • Ensure errors and omissions are maintained at an absolute minimum, or where occurring are not repetitive in nature as part of managing key risk indicators.
  • Investigate escalations and collaborate with various parties for resolution where possible.
  • Further escalate unsolved issues to management team to ensure risk containment.
  • Monitor and assist with reconciliation of asset breaks where applicable.
  • Respond to all client queries in a timely manner providing all necessary information and backup for quick resolution.
