About The Position

This internship offers students the chance to gain real-world skills for a career in the financial services industry. Interns will work on projects that contribute to the future of OCC, applying their skills to solve business challenges. The role involves supporting the transition from the current clearing system (ENCORE) to the future system (Ovation), which may include creating job aids, developing training materials, and participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT). This experience will provide insight into large-scale projects and multiple workstreams. Additionally, the intern will help strengthen the control environment by assisting with audit evidence preparation, executing basic processing controls, supporting management self-testing, and reviewing departmental controls and testing procedures. The Market Operations and Corporate Actions departments are involved in daily production activities supporting participant exchanges. Market Operations serves as the primary operations contact for exchanges, while Corporate Actions analyzes and executes adjustments to cleared products.

Requirements

Desired major(s): Finance, Economics, Business Administration
Basic technical experience (Microsoft Office)
Interest in Financial Services / Financial Markets

Responsibilities

Support department efforts in preparing for the transition from the current clearing system (ENCORE) to the future system (Ovation).
Create job aids and procedures.
Develop training materials.
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Contribute to strengthening the control environment.
Assist in the preparation of audit evidence.
Execute controls related to basic processing.
