About The Position

Millennium Space Systems, part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security, is a small satellite company focused on national security space missions, including missile warning and Earth observation. The Senior Spacecraft Avionics Security Engineer serves as the technical authority for space vehicle and avionics product-level security. The role designs, implements, and sustains cryptographic subsystems, red/black separation, and end-to-end security architectures that protect hardware, software, data, and communications throughout the vehicle lifecycle. It also drives security requirements, processes, and verification at product and mission levels. The internal job code is EE Sys Design Engineer, and the team is hiring at Levels 4–5. The position covers mission and product security management, space-vehicle and constellation networking, customer and business-development support, and coordination with suppliers and government stakeholders. The engineer defines security architectures and requirements, leads network design and integration, supports verification and certification, and contributes to customer presentations and compliant proposals. The position requires eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance and is located at a facility requiring special access. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and meet U.S. export-control requirements. The position is not contingent on a program award and is not safety sensitive.
