About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager to join its Strategic Sourcing team within Supply Chain Management. The role supports Wells Fargo Technology with IT hardware, telecommunications, network, and AI purchases. The manager executes enterprise sourcing strategies, oversees important supplier and vendor relationships, and develops sourcing processes and companywide program recommendations. The role also manages people and financial resources and guides talent development to support business objectives. The position follows a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days remote, and may require travel up to 20% of the time. The listed location is Charlotte, North Carolina. Employees are accountable for applicable risk programs and for following Wells Fargo policies and procedures, fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, escalating and remediating issues, and making sound risk decisions. The work emphasizes proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification, and escalation.

Requirements

At least 7 years of sourcing experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work, training, military experience, education, or a combination.
At least 3 years of management or leadership experience.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Hybrid schedule: three days in the office and two days remote.
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong listening skills to identify client needs and influence sustainable outcomes.
Strong Excel skills, particularly modeling, and PowerPoint skills for presenting complex issues to executives.

Nice To Haves

At least 10 years of experience and a fundamental understanding of contract law, including drafting, reviewing, and interpreting contracts, with deep knowledge of technology categories including IT hardware, telecommunications, network, AI, cloud, and datacenter.
Comprehensive sourcing and contract negotiation experience with technology-category suppliers, such as IT consulting, software, and hosted technology providers.
Ability to project-manage deals and drive results while engaging and working with legal, financial, and other stakeholders.
Strong benchmarking and financial-analysis capabilities, including contract negotiation and sourcing for a large, complex organization in a highly regulated environment.
Proficiency with web-based contract management, strategic sourcing (RFx), and reverse-auction tools such as Ariba.
Experience managing third-party relationships and conducting business reviews.
Ability to lead by coaching, training, and mentoring.
Ability to establish credibility and maintain effective working relationships with high ethics and integrity.
Excellent business and financial acumen for applying supply chain and operations to cost optimization.
Prior sales and/or consulting experience.

Responsibilities

Execute enterprise sourcing strategies and supplier capabilities to achieve line-of-business or companywide objectives.
Identify and recommend opportunities for contract negotiations and relationship management with significant or potential business-strategy impacts.
Develop and direct processes, strategy, and companywide program recommendations.
Determine strategies to meet deliverables, interpret and develop annual cost-saving programs, and implement business strategies.
Evaluate, negotiate, and manage complex and strategically important supplier and vendor relationships.
Collaborate with the Head of Technology Strategic Sourcing, peers, and colleagues, and work directly with external customers to align priorities and establish tactical and strategic business objectives.
Support the Wells Fargo Technology team with IT hardware, telecommunications, network, and AI purchases.
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for sourcing.
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
Support applicable risk programs, follow policies and procedures, fulfill risk and compliance obligations, escalate and remediate issues, and make sound risk decisions.
