Senior Solutions Consultant

Gifthealth•Columbus, OH

About The Position

Gifthealth is seeking a Senior Solutions Consultant to serve as its technical voice with pharmaceutical manufacturer partners, leading discovery and solution design at the beginning of each partner lifecycle. The role owns the partner’s technical relationship through scoping and early delivery planning, translating open-ended needs into viable solution designs that fit the Gifthealth platform. It is a solution architecture role rather than a requirements-documentation role. The consultant works closely with an Implementation Manager and Client Success, and hands finalized solution designs to Product, which owns specifications, prioritization, and the roadmap. The position reports to the Director of Product. The successful candidate brings technical credibility, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to earn trust with sophisticated partners. They collaborate across Product, Engineering, Implementation, Client Success, and Commercial teams to ensure solutions are realistic, deliverable, and connected to partner outcomes, including retention and growth. The role also uses AI tools to create repeatable assets, templates, and team standards. The position is full-time and exempt, with standard business hours and flexibility around partner meeting schedules. The work location is not specified in the source description. The role may require working at a computer for extended periods, communicating effectively, facilitating client-facing meetings, and delivering live demos, walkthroughs, and prototypes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Five to seven years of experience in solutions consulting, solutions architecture, sales engineering, or technical pre-sales for a software or services offering.
  • Significant direct client-facing experience leading technical discovery, scoping, and solution conversations.
  • Track record of designing solutions on a software platform, including working knowledge of APIs, integrations, data flows, and system architecture.
  • Demonstrated, quantifiable outcomes such as deals supported, adoption, retention, or expansion, with an understanding of the business impact.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and the tech stack, including how systems behave in practice and the constraints they impose.
  • Ability to turn vague client conversations into a structured understanding of the problem and a viable solution direction.
  • High agency and self-direction, with the ability to move work forward without waiting for a defined path.
  • Ability to own a technical relationship with a sophisticated external partner and represent Gifthealth credibly in high-stakes meetings.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to apply AI tools to accelerate solution design, build demos and prototypes, and create team standards.
  • Collaborative problem-solving skills and diplomacy in pursuing mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Understanding of client retention and business growth, and how solution design influences both.
  • Ability to turn partner signals into forward-looking insight for Product rather than building every request at face value.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturer partnerships, including patient support programs, hub services, or access programs.
  • Experience in healthcare, digital pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, or patient access.
  • Experience working alongside implementation and client success teams through onboarding and early delivery.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturer hub services, patient support programs, specialty access programs, and digital pharmacy or specialty pharmacy workflows.
  • Ability to build lightweight prototypes or mockups that validate a direction quickly with partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery and scoping conversations with partners, working with Implementation and Client Success in live client sessions.
  • Own the partner’s technical relationship at the start of each engagement, including architecture discussions, integration approaches, and feasibility questions.
  • Translate open-ended partner requests into coherent solution designs that fit the Gifthealth platform and account for system dependencies, data flows, and technical constraints.
  • Give partners credible guidance on feasibility and trade-offs, and diplomatically push back when a request does not serve the partner or the platform.
  • Build and deliver demos, walkthroughs, and lightweight prototypes to make proposed solutions tangible.
  • Hand finalized solution designs to Product with the context, rationale, and partner input needed for Product to take ownership.
  • Identify patterns and signals from partner conversations that suggest future platform opportunities and share them with Product and commercial leadership.
  • Use AI tools to create repeatable assets, templates, and standards that improve consistency across the solutions team.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Implementation, Client Success, and Commercial teams to keep solutions realistic, deliverable, and tied to partner outcomes, including retention and growth.
