About The Position

Infoblox is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join its Solutions Architecture team in the United States. Reporting to the Senior Director - Enterprise Architect, this role owns the overall architecture for a set of projects and business capabilities. It translates strategy, requirements, and constraints into coherent solution designs spanning enterprise applications, AI, data and integration, cloud, infrastructure, identity, and security. The role ensures solutions are fit for purpose, aligned to target state, and governed from concept through delivery and conformance. It requires strong technical depth across Enterprise IT platforms and architecture patterns, but is not primarily a software engineering role. The architect leads solution and capability design across front-office, middle-office, and/or back-office functions; creates current- and target-state capability-centric architecture views and roadmaps; and evolves standards, patterns, and governance across architecture domains. The role partners with business, product, engineering, platform, security, data, and delivery teams, and communicates decisions, tradeoffs, dependencies, and risks to stakeholders at all levels. In the first 90 days, the hire is expected to learn the culture, connect with mentors and key stakeholders, map relevant systems, and establish goals. By six months, they are expected to publish current-state views, establish a target-state vision and roadmap for a major capability, refine governance routines, influence major initiatives, and introduce or refine AI-powered architecture tools. Within a year, they should advance capability-centric architecture, demonstrate measurable roadmap outcomes, mature standards and patterns, embed AI and analytics into a value stream, and advise senior leaders on investments and technology choices.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in solutions architecture, sales engineering, consulting, network engineering, cybersecurity, cloud architecture, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated technical depth across the Enterprise IT platform stack and ability to evaluate options, define architecture direction, guide delivery teams, and make pragmatic tradeoffs without acting as the primary software developer.
  • Experience shaping enterprise platform architecture across ServiceNow, Salesforce, Oracle Finance and HR, Microsoft 365, Glean/AI clients, and other SaaS platforms, including lifecycle, rationalization, integration, governance, and target-state planning.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, iPaaS or enterprise service bus patterns, data movement, data quality, metadata, and governed data products across enterprise applications.
  • Practical architecture experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure, and enterprise data and analytics platforms such as Databricks and Amazon Redshift; understanding of cloud foundations, storage, resiliency, scalability, and cost considerations.
  • Working knowledge of single sign-on, multifactor authentication, role-, policy-, and attribute-based access control, entitlement-aware access, data classification, privacy, auditability, security architecture, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience defining operational readiness and non-functional requirements for logging, metrics, application performance monitoring, availability, latency, usage, cost, risk, and service health across platforms and integrations.
  • Proficiency in current- and target-state architecture, capability mapping, reference architectures, reusable patterns, technology roadmaps, vendor and platform evaluation, architecture review boards, design conformance, and exception management.
  • Experience defining or implementing enterprise AI capabilities involving approved foundation models, model routing or gateways, prompt management, evaluation, safety guardrails, human-in-the-loop controls, and usage or cost management.
  • Experience with enterprise search, knowledge retrieval, RAG, permission-aware context, agent workflows, tool routing, and MCP or comparable governed tool-integration patterns.
  • Ability to connect AI experiences to enterprise platforms such as Glean, Microsoft 365 and Teams, Salesforce, Oracle, and ServiceNow while preserving identity, authorization, data boundaries, and auditability.
  • Track record moving AI concepts from discovery or proof of concept toward production-ready architecture, with clear decisions, non-functional requirements, measurable outcomes, and adoption roadmaps.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and strategy of project, capability, platform, and solution architecture across front-office, middle-office, and/or back-office functions, from early planning through design and delivery.
  • Build an end-to-end capability-centric technology landscape connecting capability models, value streams, processes, and domain architectures in current and target states.
  • Develop contextual, conceptual, component, and physical architecture views that establish business and technical context, cover functional and non-functional requirements, define implementation scope and approach, and account for delivery strategy, risks, issues, and constraints.
  • Develop and maintain capability-level roadmaps that sequence platform, solution, and architectural evolution in line with business priorities, dependencies, and target-state outcomes.
  • Own and evolve standards and patterns across AI, integration, data, infrastructure, security, compliance, regulatory, and other non-functional control domains, partnering with the architecture community.
  • Support architecture governance through high-level design reviews, design conformance, decision management, risk identification, and exception handling.
  • Identify opportunities for reuse, simplification, modularity, automation, and zero-touch experiences across capabilities, applications, and technologies.
  • Build partnerships across business, product, engineering, platform, security, data, and delivery teams to drive aligned solution outcomes.
  • Communicate architectural direction, tradeoffs, dependencies, and risks to executive, leadership, delivery, and technical stakeholders.
  • Manage roadmaps, resolve issues, coordinate design, and follow through across initiatives.
  • Maintain technical expertise in architecture patterns, integration approaches, platform considerations, and non-functional design requirements.
  • Establish and publish current-state capability and architecture views, and develop target-state visions and prioritized roadmaps.
  • Influence major initiatives to align with target architecture, security and compliance expectations, and non-functional standards.
  • Introduce or refine AI-powered tools for architecture documentation, options analysis, and impact assessments.
  • Drive measurable improvements in reuse, complexity, traceability, delivery, data consistency, cost efficiency, and user experience.
