Senior Solutions Architect

Amentum•Chantilly, VA

About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to serve as an integral member of its Engineering and Technology growth team and as the senior technical architect across selected Federal pursuits. The role develops innovative, competitive, tailored solutions for Federal government proposals by translating client needs, capture strategies, and compliance requirements into compelling technical and operational approaches aligned with organizational goals and win strategies. The position owns technical strategy and proposal responses, including the technical solution, staffing approach, implementation considerations, Basis of Estimate inputs, and supporting technical artifacts. The architect may manage or lead the technical volume, interview subject matter experts, integrate partner capabilities, and ensure responses are technically credible, compliant, customer-focused, and aligned with capture strategy. The role works proactively with Business Development account managers, Capture Managers, subject matter experts, other Solutions Architects, and teaming partners. The successful candidate has strong experience developing solutions and writing artifacts for FAR-based, Commercial Solution Opening (CSO), or Other Transaction Authority (OTA) proposals, with expertise in systems engineering, IT, and/or mission support. Excellent technical writing skills are essential, including the ability to present complex technical and compliance information in readable, persuasive, customer-focused formats. The role requires working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment while managing multiple complex tasks. Amentum lists compensation of $180,000; actual compensation may vary based on role responsibilities and other factors.
